Teacher's Day
Teacher's Day - a professional holiday for educational workers - is celebrated in several post-Soviet countries on the first Sunday of October.
It dates back to 1965, when, in the era of the USSR, it was celebrated everywhere in all the Republics of the Soviet Union in accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 1, 1980 "On Holidays and Observances."
Teacher's Day is one of the most beloved professional holidays. On this day, teachers accept congratulations from their pupils, who give them flowers and gifts, arrange concerts, draw colorful wall newspapers and, according to tradition, conduct self-government in many schools.
A teacher is not only a person teaching science, but also a carrier of spirituality and moral principles. Teachers fulfill a special civic mission - educating the younger generation. Their knowledge and experience, continuity of tradition and innovation are at the core of every school.
We are always very demanding of our teachers. We want them to have the fullness of knowledge, to be considerate and wise, friendly and condescending. And, of course, we wish that our teacher was always in a good mood. We often forget about the fact that the teacher needs our personal support ...
But today I would like to wish all teachers good health, peace and prosperity. And also the tireless search for truth and knowledge, mutual understanding in the team and grateful, curious students!
