Caring for the hydrangea given to you

Hydrangea bouquets are very popular today.

Keeping them fresh for a long time is not at all difficult if you follow certain rules. These flowers love attention and care.

On average, a bouquet in a vase costs 14 days. If you pay little attention to it, then the flowers can stand up to 25 days.

The first step is to wash the vase. It should be free of dust and dried leaves from the previous bouquet. Hydrangea does not like metal vessels. A glass, porcelain or ceramic vase is suitable for a bouquet. It is advisable to take water filtered or settled for several days. It should be slightly warmer than the ambient temperature. The vase is filled with liquid 2/3 of its volume.

At home, first of all, you need to remove a part of the stem by 2-3 cm at an angle of 45 degrees. Split the tip with a knife, so moisture will flow better. This procedure should be repeated every 1-2 days.

Once every few days, the hydrangea must be sprayed.

Hydrangea does not like direct sunlight and heat. It is best to place the vase with the bouquet in a cold, dark place.

To keep the hydrangea in the vase for a long time, you can use special universal means. The main solution used in floristry is Chrysal. Its composition allows you to keep the flowers in the bouquet fresh and beautiful for a long time.

How to revive a withering bouquet of hydrangeas

• Bathe it in cold water, preferably with ice. Fill a tub or a large basin and place the inflorescences in the liquid for 30 minutes, then, after cutting the stem, dip the flowers completely for 1.5-2 hours.

• Add a few drops of citric acid to a vase of water - hydrangea loves acidic environments. But do not overdo it, otherwise change the shade of the petals.

• Sprinkle the inflorescences themselves generously with plain water from a spray bottle and put a plastic bag on them for 30-40 minutes. They quickly absorb moisture and revive.

Then continue to enjoy the beauty of this flower!
